Where We Move

We do not move in a straight line.

Writings · Research · Field
In Soma-Feminism, a question may begin with the body, then turn into
a trace, then appear as a pattern, then take us to a structure we had not seen.
And the opposite may happen.
An idea may begin in writing, push us into research, then move out into the field,
then return to us differently.
That is why we do not separate our spaces. We leave movement between them.

The Field

We move from idea to experience.
We observe, listen, test, and let reality rearrange our questions.
Here, we see what happens.
And we do not know in advance where the movement will take us.

Research

We turn to the question when observation alone is not enough.
We search, trace, compare, and leave room for what we do not yet know.
Here, we investigate.

Writings

We write when an idea needs a language.
We approach experience, deconstruct it, reconsider it, and leave the writing open to new possibilities.
Here, we think out loud.

There is no single starting point.

We do not build separate spaces. We build pathways between them.

  • We may begin with writing, and arrive at research.
  • We may begin with research, and enter the field.
  • And the entire field may return as writing.

What We Are Working On

Works, articles, and materials from our three spaces.
