Protection and Privacy
Introduction
This page explains how we handle what you share with us. It is part of our ethical commitment in the Soma-Feminism project, and not merely a legal text. We write it in clear language, because trust is not a clause in a contract, but the foundation of a relationship.
1. Participation Is Entirely Voluntary
- We do not ask anyone to participate.
- We do not pressure anyone to answer.
- You may skip any question that does not feel comfortable.
- You may stop at any moment, without giving any reason.
- Participation does not create any financial, legal, or moral obligation on you.
2. Identity and Privacy
- You may participate anonymously if you wish.
- If you choose to disclose your identity, we will keep it strictly confidential..
- We will not share your name or data with any third party.
- We will not use your email except to communicate with you about your participation.
- If you request deletion of your data, we will delete it.
3. How Your Answers Are Used
- What you share is read as testimony, not data..
- We will not publish any answer without your conscious consent..
- We will not use any answer as "research material" without your permission.
- If your answer is published, it will be published in excerpts or in anonymous form, according to your choice.
- You may withdraw your answer at any time, and we will delete it from the archive.
4. Sensitive Materials
- We treat every testimony as sensitive material, not as a resource..
- Some materials may never be published, because publishing them may harm their owner.
- The final decision on publication belongs to you, not to us.
- If we believe that publishing a testimony may harm you, we will tell you, and leave the decision to you.
5. Non-Representation
- Published testimonies do not represent all bodies, nor all experiences.
- Every testimony is an individual experience, read in its context.
- We do not claim to represent "the Syrian people," "women," or "students."
- What we offer is layers of awareness, not a single voice..
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Knowledge: to know how your answer is used.
- Consent: to agree to publication before it happens.
- Withdrawal: to withdraw your answer at any time.
- Correction: to correct any inaccurate information.
- Forgetting: to request permanent deletion of your data.
- Silence: to choose not to answer, without justification.

- We do not share it with governmental or security entities.
- We do not use it for commercial purposes.
- We do not publish it without your consent.
- We do not turn it into "research material" without your conscious choice.
